Сolumbia cadets program was founded in 2006. This program by itself is desired to grow up its own specialists for CSM fleet from different maritime academies cadets. Career and employment is guaranteed for the cadets’ program participants successfully passed the sailing practice. During the practice Columbia pays cadets 500 USD monthly as a cadetship. Columbia also pays for their additionally required professional courses. Columbia does not pay cadets any other allowance  after  completion of their practice until Academy graduation. After Academy graduation program, participants have to get the appropriate Certificate of Competency and return back to Columbia. Columbia signs him on to one of CSM ships as a Junior Officer with an option of promotion to Officer’s rank within one or two months. Promotion goes smoothly in case of positive feedback from the ship. Ex-cadets, the program participants, have uncomparable advantages in their career growth in comparison with other Officers.
